Kinsey Pugh
On the 13th June 1980, Kinsey Pugh sadley passed away. He was a founding member of West Midlands DA and a member of the club for 25 years.
Following Kinsey's passing, Mrs Shand and Miss Kinsey asked for the DA to arrage for his caravan to be sold and generously offered the proceeds from the sale to the WMDA.
The Committee accepted the offer and proposed as part of the sale to purchase a PA system. It was also proposed that after the purchase of the PA the balance of the sale should be donated to the Camping Club of Great Britain & Ireland LTD for use at their camp sites furthering the provision of camping sites and facilities.
The committee proposed that a memorial trophy named after Kinsey Pugh to be presented annually to a WMDA member who in the opinion of the Committee deserves recognition for services to the WMDA.
At a Committee meeting on 10th December 1980 it was agreed to purchase a Rose Bowl and have it engraved, "Kinsey Pugh Memorial – Founder member WMDA of The Camping Club of Great Britian & Ireland".
